Business Start-Up Book in draft

The book on starting a business is done in first draft. I still need to add graphics, have it edited and proofread, choose a title and convert for publication as an e-book. Perhaps by March.

I discovered decades ago that questions are far more valuable than answers. The right answer to the wrong question is worthless. After working in and on startups for more than half a century, I know what the right questions are. The answers will be different for everyone. They have to be, because the startup is your business and no one else's.

As the Word Turns



I’m dealing with the normal pressure hydrocephalus as best I can, and am looking forward to surgery to restore most of my functionality and slow the degeneration. I’ve been able to get some work done on So, You Want to Start a Business and it’s nearly a third complete. The freelancing book is mostly unorganized notes right now, and I’m hoping to enlist a co-author.

I have to take a break from Did You Ever See Allegro? Because I need to re-read it from the beginning to catch up. I’ve got about thirty pages of notes for Volume Four in the Finding Series, and have outlined maybe a quarter of the first volume in a new series, Frankenbuzz Detective Agency. First book is a case involving a luxury yacht charter company and inexplicably dead passengers. It will take place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and aboard an assortment of luxury yacht charters by various people and groups.

The second new book explains how to use the multiple online job brokering boards to hire freelancers, or to offer your services as a freelancer. The existing literature is mostly "Do exactly what I did and make a lot of money with very little work." Those are no different from the television programs telling watchers to send the author money and learn the secrets of becoming wealthy with real estate.
