Did You Ever See A Leg Grow?
Back from editing, lots of rewrite. Back from beta read, twice as much rewrite.Started advertising on Facebook, might get some interest.
Cover created, changed, final. Manuscript uploaded, and here it gets to be a problem. There is no such thing as a document that can be uploaded directly into Kindle Direct Publishing and look right, unless you first convert it professionally to the publishing format.
I've had a lot of luck with skipping the professional conversion and simply proofing the book, making changes, uploading, previewing, making changes, uploading again, previewing and then publishing. Not so fast.
This time I've got page breaks that disappear. And paragraphs that run together. And there is no reason for it except that I really want to get the book published, and Amazon's Critical Needs Detector has learned that.
It needs to be previewed now one last time, but it's late. I'm going to try it tomorrow. I've uploaded and converted it twice already. Maybe I'll get far enough in it tomorrow that it will be almost done.
Right.
