Sequel to Four Seconds on the Clock

mark@marktreble.com

Four Seconds on the Clock, the coming of age tale about two gay teens dealing with the aftermath of trauma, has seen significant interest over the past two months. I will write four separate books about their college years; years one and three will be narrated by Tommy, years two and four by Logan. No schedule yet for release, but I have penciled in September 2017, December 2017, March 2018 and June 2018 to release them.

Anyone who wants to be mentioned in the book as a character, please just write and briefly describe the character, gay or straight, male or female, you wish to be. Thanks.

Status of New Work

,

Four Seconds on the Clock: The College Years. In response to recent demand for the original, I’ve got this in concept stage. Intend to reach final draft stage by the end of July 2017, with editing, cover and conversion complete by the end of September this year. Look for availability on Amazon Kindle in October 2017. It continues the story of Logan and Tommy as they explore their relationship, make critical decisions about sex and careers, and play outstanding basketball.

Life Creates. Volume Three of the Life Stories Series is in development. I expect it to follow the College Years timetable, one month later. Look for availability on Amazon Kindle in November 2017. Ethan and Carly marry (in a loony bin, you’ll have to read the book to know why), and Alex and Deidre get a good news/bad news surprise. The book is narrated by Alex, who finishes growing up – in a hurry.

Two projects shelved, two new ones started

mark@marktreble.com

I have shelved two books in progress, Habeas Corpse, a mystery, and Spring Break Awakening, a coming of age story. The latter isn’t going in the direction I want; I’m bored with the mystery. fI I’m bored, I can’t expect readers to be interested.

Instead, I started today on Life Creates, Volume III of the Life Stories Series. The first two volumes were quite angst-filled, and this one will have a great deal less anger. Ethan, the step-father, narrated the first two volumes. Alex, the step-son, will narrate this one. I expect to reach completed draft in about three elapsed months, as I’m working on other things simultaneously.

Recent interest in Four Seconds on the Clock has caused me to start planning a sequel: Four Seconds on the Clock, the College Years.  I expect to reach completed drat in about two and a half elapsed months. I’ll keep you updated.

Soliciting Advice - Sequel to Four Seconds on the Clock

mark@marktreble.com

Four Seconds on the Clock, a story about two young men dealing with the aftermath of severe trauma, has been receiving a lot of attention on Amazon from people either reading it for free (Amazon Prime), or lending it to others.

The story ended with the men’s graduation from high school, with an epilogue occurring four years later when they graduate from college. I’m contemplating writing the story of their college years as a sequel to the first book. I’m soliciting advice/feedback from readers on the matter. Your comments are welcome, and will receive replies.
